![]() Hope that helps anyone experiencing similar issues. Now that all of that is out in the open I was able to resolve the issue by creating a rule in LOOT to load Audio Overhaul Skyrim.esp after Reverb and Ambience Overhaul - Skyrim.esp. ![]() Reverb and Ambience Overhaul - Skyrim.esp My install order - Left Pane Mod Organizer: This mod will rattle your sub-woofers and annoy your neighbors. Lightweight and compatible with all sound replacer mods. Increases the diversity and dynamics of in-game sound. Just thought you would want to know.Other than that, as someone who has done some crawling around in caves and abandoned buildings, this overhaul rocks! Improves and balances ambiance and reverb to be more realistic and lively. The Step ENB should work fine with this mod. Test with and without the Light Colors optional plugin. If I disable Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul UPDATED ESL v1.6.3 the issue disappears. Discussion topic: Ambiance - A Vanilla(plus) Ambient Lighting Overhaul by TheMilesO Wiki Link This would replace Luminosity and improve RAID compatibility. Even after I turn down ALL of the other sound effects/enhancements it sounds like Leaf Rest is going to burn Riverwood to the ground. And the reverb mod is friggin awesome, I nearly wet myself the first time I heard gunfire, its like ear sex o.o Is a shame, we have to wait, in vanilla most weapons sound weak including gauss rifle, 44 magnum and even frag grenades, the only exception is some of the laser weapons like the laser musket and gatling laser. This is most noticeable in Rimerock Barrow and Leaf Rest (my favorite player home). I use Audio Overhaul and Immersive Sounds Compendium, have installed per your description, and have noticed the burning/crackling/roaring thing (like a giant bonfire). ![]() This way, you would get your beautiful NPCs back - but without additional weapons. The sounds in outdoors and the caves (haven't ventured into dungeons yet) are amazing, but I have noticed that burning embers/fires are really overpowered. The not so correct, but basically working solution would be to put IW in your load order ABOVE / BEFORE NPC mods affected by the black face bug. I don't understand what the major differences are between using Audio Overhaul and true 3d+Reverb and Ambiance, and I would like some help on a decision on which to use. There are quite a few patches for IW already out now. Meanwhile, the popular modding guides from Skyrim SE, recommend using Audio Overhaul and ISC but not Reverb or True 3d. The correct solution would be to create a patch with SSE-Edit - or hope, that someone already has done this. Jarl Balgruuf the blackfaced (and a lot of his friends.). I had this happen myself with IW and a private conversion of "Inhabitants of Skyrim". So, now we have different records for one and the same NPC - which can cause the black face bug. The thing is, that "Immersive Weapons" changes the inventory of quite a lot of NPCs by giving them - you guess it - immersive weapons. Interestingly, I never had a problem with IW and generic bandits or the like, although they are modified in my game, too. This or a similar conflict between "Immersive weapons" and another mod, that changes NPCs, especially named characters. It may not matter since the two mods are compatible but the author does recommend allowing other mods to overwrite Reverb And Ambiance Overhaul. ![]() This is the way LOOT sorts the two mods on PC. KEY: (+) My most wanted () Will try out the vanilla experience first before deciding if these are needed (-) If the vanilla game is running well I might. Not sure yet if all these will work and I will need to check some compatibility between them but I think they could add to the VR experience. If I had to bet, I'd say "Immersive weapons loaded after Diversity". Reverb and Ambiance should be placed before Immersive Sound Compendium. I decided to do a bit of research into mods before release and here’s what I have so far.
